About the Department
The Department of Water and Development was established to coordinate and provide policy direction on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene matters.The Department of Water and Development has three technical departments namely, Water Resources and Water Supply and Sanitation. Apart from the technical departments, the department has a corporate office responsible for policy and planning and general management and administration.

To develop and manage water resources for multipurpose use, and provide water supply and sanitation services for all through appropriate standards and technologies for sustainable development
